PADI Certified Snorkel Guide Course

In this course candidates learn about their role and responsibilities, how to organize snorkelling excursions, emergency care and safety considerations, and how to emphasize the need for snorkelers to care for the aquatic environment. 

Candidates water skills, stamina, snorkel/skin diving skills and rescue abilities are developed and evaluated. Role-playing workshops involving briefings and guiding tours is also part of the program.

Become a Leader as a PADI Certified Snorkel Guide

Pre-requisites:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Hold a statement of attainment in HLTAID 010 & 011 Provide First Aid within 48 months. Hold a current HLTAID009 Provide CPR within 12 months
  • Medical form signed by a physician

Prices

Both courses include:

  • Gear hire for the duration of the course.
  • PADI snorkel guide notes – pre course learning
    Keppel Konnections ferry transfers to and from GKI for all days required to complete the course
    All prices include a per person, per day Environmental Management Charge (EMC) that contributes to management and protection of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park

Price does not include: 

  • Application and membership fee
  • PADI Professional Liability Insurance Fee
